Thank you for considering Marmalade Lit for your work! Issue 1 submissions are open through February 1, 2026.

Writers must be between 12 and 22 years of age, as we are a youth publication. We love to see international work, but please keep it primarily in English or accompanied by an English translation. You may submit one prose piece and up to three poems. Please submit the form once for prose and once for poetry.

Please note that prose pieces must be 800 words or under and each poem must be 100 lines or under.

We accept simultaneous submissions but not previously published work. If your piece is selected for publication elsewhere, please email us at editor@marmaladelit.com to withdraw your submission. 

We reserve First Serial Rights for your work. Upon publication, however, all rights revert back to the author. If your work is reprinted elsewhere, we ask that you credit Marmalade Lit as the original publisher.

Finally, we ask that you use our submission form to submit your work. Please do not email us submissions unless you have a technical issue with the form or do not have a Google account. If you must email us your submission, please include your full name, age, country, and a third-person bio under 75 words.
